Theft of Motorcycle Pelham Court

Dear Resident

 

Between 16 - 19th August, offender(s) have committed a theft of a motorcycle in Pelham court .

 

Victim has  reported that he left his motorbike at the back of Pelham court on Sunday the 16/08/2025 at approximately 21:30hrs and this had been locked and had a chain through the wheels. The victim has stated that he has then come back at 12:00hrs on the 19/08/2025 to find that the motorbike had gone along with the chain that had secured this as well. The vehicle  is a silver Honda motorcycle.

Tips to prevent Motorcycle crime:

  • Use a combination of a fitted alarm and immobiliser.
  • Secure your bike to a ground post with a good quality chain and closed shackle padlock.
  • Consider fitting a ‘Datatag’ which will uniquely identify your motorcycle.
  • If you cannot park in a garage, use a cover to make the Motorcycle less visible. 
  • Don't leave keys in obvious places such as key racks or near open windows/letterboxes to prevent thieves fishing them out.
  •
